Information for Incoming Exchange Students

Welcome to the Department of Historical Studies!

We at the Department of Historical Studies would like to extend a warm welcome to all exchange students! The department offers courses and pursues research in the following subject areas: Ancient History and Archaeology, Archaeology, and History.

This following information concerns exchange students at the Department of Historical Studies within the Erasmus Program or Nordplus.

To be admitted as an exchange student at the Department of Historical Studies, an exchange agreement has to exist between your home university and the department, and you have to have been granted a scholarship.

If you want to take courses taught in Swedish, it is recommended that you have previously studied Swedish or have enough knowledge of the language in order to understand academic teaching.

When your study advisor has informed the department that you have been selected for an exchange, you can start planning exchange studies.

Academic Application

In order to register, exchange students have to get in touch with the contact person at the department. Academic applications are made through the Learning Agreement after discussion with the advisor at your home university. Exchange students register after their arrival at the host university.
